Dogwood Career Club was founded with a mission to help young people overcome career uncertainty, navigate evolving job markets, and build stronger relationships with their families. Inspired by personal experiences and community feedback, we are developing a platform that combines mentorship, AI technology, and structured family engagement to empower the next generation.

Mr. George Deng
Financial Consultant & Career Mentor
With a Master’s in economics from Tsinghua University, a background in theoretical physics from Peking University and decades of experience in finance and international trade, Mr. Deng is the founder of a long-running financial advisory firm in Canada. He offers practical guidance on career planning, financial literacy, and education pathways—drawing from both his professional background and his success raising two Ivy League graduates.
Mr. Don Quan
International Trade & Career Strategy Coach
Mr. Don holds dual degrees from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and an MBA in Supply Chain Management from UBC Sauder School of Business. With extensive experience in global trade, operations, and North American career planning, he helps individuals design personalized pathways for career growth and continuing education.
Dr. Kelly Liang
Family Education Specialist & SEL Instructor
Dr. Kelly Liang holds a Ph.D. from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. Since immigrating to Canada, she has focused on family education, becoming a certified Positive Discipline and SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) instructor. Dr. Liang has co-developed parent and student self-management programs with national institutions and has led numerous emotional intelligence and parent-child communication workshops both online and offline.
Mr. Xiaoyu Shi
Global Trade & Investment Advisor
Mr. Xiaoyu Shi holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a master’s degree from Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance. With over 23 years at Mitsubishi Corporation, he specialized in international trade, energy and chemical commodities, corporate management, and later transitioned into derivatives and financial product investment. Now based in Singapore and Canada, he brings deep expertise in global operations and cross-border investment strategy.
Mr. Tony Li
Education Advisor & Parent-Student Coach
Mr. Tony Li holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Materials Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. A former senior executive in multinational corporations, he later immigrated to Canada and founded an education consultancy focused on guiding Chinese students into Canada’s top STEM programs. As the founder of Fuxiao Parent Network, he emphasizes the critical role of family in student success.
Dr. James Lin
Biology Educator & Pre-Med Mentor
Dr. James Lin earned his B.S. in Biology with highest distinction from UC Berkeley, followed by a master’s in Human Psychology and Evolutionary Biology from UC Santa Barbara. He later received his M.D. from the Medical College of Wisconsin. With over 20 years of teaching experience, he has mentored thousands of students—many excelling in AP Biology and competitions, and gaining admission to top universities such as Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Princeton, and MIT.
Ms. Cindy
University Admissions Consultant & Study Abroad Advisor
Ms. Cindy holds degrees in Systems Engineering (UIUC), Project Management (UCL), and Risk Management (Columbia University). With global academic experience across the U.S., U.K., Singapore, and Greece, she brings a strong international perspective to student advising. Since 2019, she has helped over 200 students gain admission to top U.K. and U.S. universities, with a 95% success rate for G5 offers.

Career Coach & Graduate Admissions Advisor
Ms. Angie holds a Master’s degree from New York University and has worked with global organizations including the United Nations Headquarters, embassies, and Southeast Asian tech giants. Now based in Canada, she works in project management and consulting for a local health institution. She has extensive experience guiding students through undergraduate and graduate applications, and specializes in coaching applicants targeting international organizations, government roles, and major tech companies.
Ms. Angel Tang
Education & Student Wellness Advisor
Ms. Angel Tang holds a Master’s degree in Counseling from City University of Hong Kong and has over 10 years of experience as both a teacher and student counselor in top primary schools. With a strong background in child development and holistic education, she is passionate about nurturing students’ emotional growth, lifelong learning abilities, and positive mindset. Her extensive experience working with students, parents, and educators allows her to support children in setting meaningful life goals.
